I mostly know of Dick Cavett from his magic hostings—Slydini in the Dick Cavett Show, Hocus Pocus it's Magic, and the HBO Magic Moments. other than YouTube videos of the show itself and a few forum posts, I find no mention of the show itself anywhere. Does anyone else know anything of it? Is it mentioned in the book whose title contains that phrase? 59.93.138.164 (talk) 04:38, 2 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
However had, while his German is really solid, I would not necessarily describe it as "fluent German", as the main wikipedia article currently claims. I would describe it more as "decent" or "very good"; fluent is a bit of a problematic word because while I think he will understand most of what is said in German, he does take a little pause now and then while thinking for words, as can be seen on the introduction linked in by the above link (should the video be removed in some time, the title was "Dick Cavett Meets ABBA - German TV Version"). 2A02:8388:1641:4980:52EB:F6FF:FE28:C651 (talk) 19:18, 27 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
